Private lessons take place in rehearsal/recording studios that are fully equipped with guitar and bass amps, professional drum kits, digital audio/video recording capability, and broadband internet. The multi-instrument and recording capabilities of our teaching studios create the ideal learning environment and also add a unique dimension to our private lessons and workshops.
A UNIQUE, INTERACTIVE TWIST!
All of our private students will study with an instructor who is proficient on a primary instrument, as well as secondary instrument(s). During lessons, students will have the opportunity to jam with their instructor playing another instrument (or the same instrument, of course)! This is invaluable experience that prepares students for group performance, and most of all, it's A LOT OF FUN! For example...
- If you're a guitarist who is working on the timing of a new riff, your teacher can assist you by playing drums and/or bass.
- If you're a drummer who's working on a new groove, your teacher can accompany you on guitar or bass, so you can hear how the groove works with chords, riffs, or melodies.
- If you're a bass player who is working up a funky new bass line, your teacher can play drums and/or guitar to help you to lock it in!
